Deoksugung Palace (덕수궁)

Deoksugung Palace by night is totally magical, I remember this night so well. I went to the Palace after work and wanted some ‘Simon time’. I walked around the gardens, looked at the beautiful architecture and thought about old times in Seoul.

Since getting married, I had noticed many changes about myself and the way that I engage with my goals, my friends and my partner. I wanted to clarify things in my head, I wanted to understand my new journey and goals. I realized that life had changed, Seoul has been a turning point in my life, I recreated myself on a drawing board (the way, I had done when I headed to Sydney for a whirlwind trip after leaving a job at the European Parliament).

Self-reflection is a great tool, timeout for yourself should never be neglected. We are all busy, so make time for yourself, is what I learnt that night.

Enjoy what is around you!
